SOLAR IMPULSE has appointed SKYOCEAN LLC for import and customs procedure upon arrival of their solar powered aircraft on board of a B747 freighter from Abu Dhabi to Switzerland.

The aircraft landed at the Swiss Air Force airport at Dubendorf, near Zurich / Switzerland. As Dübendorf is not a civil airport, SKYOCEAN arranged the complete import procedure according to the specific requirements of the Swiss Army,  as well the rules of Swiss Customs Authorities and Swiss Immigration Department.

„Thanks to our in depth experience in Swiss customs procedure  and the good cooperation with the airport staff, we have been able to manage a smooth handling & execution of all import and immigration formalities  upon arrival of the solar aircraft“ commented Frédéric Leresche – Operations supervisor at Skyocean LLC. SOLAR IMPULSE or better said „Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg set out and accomplished something that still seems impossible today: the First Round-The-World Solar Flight, powered only by the sun, with no fuel or polluting emissions“
